Rockethound:
The last word in loyalty. A dog that loves with all of its heart and exists to drive you nuts. Typically a rescued Pit Bull mix. We have loved a few in our lives. The OG Rockethounds were Moretti and Sadie. Moretti passed in the summer of 2023 and Sadie in the spring of 2024. Miller joined the Suburbstead May 1st 2024!

Our Story
People spend their lives looking for the right thing. We have made mistakes along the way but are firm believers that if we had not made those mistakes we would not be where we are now.
We are Kim and Mike Pensinger. Kim is a LVT turned Professional Brewer and Mike is a Professional Brewer. Nice Combo huh!
Mike has been brewing professionally since 2002 and decided to pursue it as a main employment after retiring from the U.S. Navy in 2004. He has worked in 5 breweries and helped advise many others of the years. Currently he is the General Manager and Brewmaster at Parkway Brewing Company in Salem, VA.
Always the one to have odd hobbies, when brewing became his job he started picking up other options for his spare time. He is an avid tinkerer and builds CNC machines and 3D printers, blacksmiths and makes knives, helps in the garden, works with wood and metal fabrication and still finds time to be a consultant for startup breweries. Other interests include food preservation, guns (both shooting and building) and a new found love for smoking meat on his new pellet smoker.
Kim is a talented brewer, but her other loves include knitting, crocheting, spinning yarn and of course gardening. Fiber arts in general have always drawn her interest and macrame has recently come into the picture. Speaking of pictures, adult paint by numbers fuel the fire to travel the world and see new places.
We have a desire to live simply and to do as many things as we can. We have lots of interests and hope we can share them with you.
